Interview with Olle Engdegård, Head of AI Center of Excellence
In a world where AI is becoming increasingly central to business success, Enento Group and UC are taking deliberate and thoughtful steps to integrate AI into our services and operations. We spoke with Olle Engdegård, Head of the AI Center of Excellence, about our company’s AI strategy, current projects, and what the future holds in 2025.
What does Enento Group’s AI strategy look like in practice?
“Strengthening our AI expertise and leveraging its full potential is a key strategic priority for us. As an information provider, we need to develop advanced generative AI capabilities capable of handling large datasets and unstructured information. Beyond that, it’s also about exploring new commercial models through our services,” Olle explains.
He continues: “Our AI strategy is carefully balanced. We actively pursue business value while staying mindful of the risks and avoiding the hype surrounding AI. That’s why we established the AI Center of Excellence in Q2 2024, bringing together employees from across our business units and functions.”
What does the AI Center of Excellence do?
Olle describes several key roles for the AI team: “We coordinate AI initiatives across the organization and prioritize projects to ensure strategic alignment and proper resource allocation. We also closely monitor the market to identify new potential AI use cases.”
“We inspire and share AI knowledge by running training programs and communicating best practices. Additionally, we support leadership in implementing AI solutions aligned with the company’s overall strategy and objectives.”
What is the role of AI ambassadors in the organization?
“In Q2 2025, we introduced the concept of AI ambassadors, who will become active after this summer. Their mission is to spread AI knowledge throughout the organization and coach colleagues on using the latest AI tools effectively. They’ll also actively explore new AI technologies—particularly AI assistants like Copilot and ChatGPT—and gather insights collectively.”
Which AI applications hold the most promise for Enento Group?
“We work on both Enento-specific and industry-wide AI solutions. On the Enento-specific side, we focus on handling large volumes of unstructured data—for example, extracting and validating information, as well as streamlining data collection. We’re also developing chat-based services for real-time access to data and tailored reporting.
“In broader applications, we’re exploring chatbots for customer service and internal support, AI assistants for coding and office tasks, and solutions for optimizing sales funnels, market analysis, translation, and content generation. The benefits are clear: greater efficiency, lower costs, higher customer value, reduced low-value work, and improved sales performance,” Olle says.
What challenges do you face in your AI work?
“One of our biggest challenges is managing complex data while staying compliant with regulations like GDPR. This requires the right expertise and infrastructure. We also need to steer clear of technologies that don’t provide long-term value.”
What are you most proud of in Enento’s AI journey?
“I’m extremely proud of the strong AI culture we’ve built and how quickly we can translate advanced technology into practical solutions that deliver real business impact.”
The Future of AI at Enento Group and UC

“We don’t just want to keep up with developments; we aim to be a leading player in the Nordics when it comes to AI and information security,” concludes Olle Engdegård.
