Enento Group Plc has donated 10 000 € to the Red Cross to help those affected by the conflict in Ukraine. The intensified fighting is making life difficult for millions of ordinary people. In Ukraine, over 14.6 million people, or about 40% of the country’s population, are in need of humanitarian aid.
The Red Cross is helping in Ukraine by providing heating, electricity, relief supplies, food, and first aid. Assistance is especially needed by people living near the front lines. The aid is delivered in cooperation with the Ukrainian Red Cross and the International Red Cross.
“One of Enento’s values is ‘we care and dare,’ and we want to live this value through our everyday decisions. As a company, we want to do our part to help vulnerable people, and this year we felt it was particularly important to help those suffering from the war in Ukraine. That’s why we decided to use the funds intended for Christmas gifts for a donation to the Red Cross,” says Enento’s Chief Marketing and Customer Officer Arto Paukku.
“We thank Enento for their donation to help those affected by the conflict in Ukraine. People living in Ukraine will need help for years after the fighting eventually ends. The Red Cross will continue to provide assistance in Ukraine for as long as it is needed, and this is made possible through donations,” says Anna Laurinsilta, Fundraising Manager at the Red Cross.
The Finnish Red Cross is a neutral and independent non-governmental organization that is part of the global Red Cross and Red Crescent movement. In international disasters, aid is delivered by the International Red Cross in cooperation with national Red Cross or Red Crescent societies.
