Do it by-the-book and Know Your Customer – the only way to make it compliant

KYC – Know Your Customer, it is always key to successful business. It is the base for risk management and complying with all the official requirements. The demand for anti-money laundering has been in place for years and according to my experience, banks and financiers are familiar with this process. It is in their nature to adapt with regulation. Still, for example sanction list checks should be more familiar for many other businesses too.
The war in Ukraine we now witness, and the actions taken by the western nations to stop Russia have made sanction lists a hot topic. Every day our customers ask us for advice and data. What are the sanctions set? Who should I avoid doing business with? How can I make my process waterproof to comply with all the requirements?

I am so proud that we can help all by-the-book-working companies with our services and data to do business in an efficient and compliant way. Enento utilizes our own KYC service (PLEASE, LEARN SOME MORE) and also support others. We build trust.

We help our customers to reach the data and know their customers when it comes to:

  • Beneficial owners of a company – available Nordic: Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark
  • Sanction lists (companies, individuals) – available from Finland
  • Politically exposed persons (PEP) – available from Finland

We develop our services and build new use cases for the existing data

In Enento Group we have an ongoing dialogue with our customers. We want to understand their need and constantly develop our services based on those wishes we get. We have a unique position and role as a trusted data provider, and we always try to help our customers to reach all the data they might need to make sustainable decisions.
One example: On the Finnish market, after our thorough dialogue with Digital and Population Data Services Agency (authority), we are now able to provide our banking customers data about the family relations of their consumer customers. The datapoint itself is not new but the banks have only been allowed to utilize this data to identify the relatives when their customer has passed away. Now we can provide this Family Relation Check also for anti-money laundering purposes and help the banks to know their customers even better. This is good for the whole society, I think.
