Empowering our people

At our company, we are committed to empowering our people by investing in learning and development, well-being, and building an engaging work culture. We believe that these investments help us attract and retain the right talent despite increasing competition.

“Empowered people is one of our four strategic focus areas and closely linked to our values: We build trust, We care and dare, and We grow together,” says Sari Ek-Petroff, Director, HR. “In 2024, investing in our people resulted in an improved Employee Engagement index and reduced employee turnover. These achievements highlight the success of our initiatives aimed at retaining employees, fostering strong team spirit, and promoting good leadership within our organization,” she continues.

Learning and development

We grow together is one of our values and we are committed to ongoing focus on learning, development and creating growth opportunities for our employees. Learning and development within Enento means learning while working, through various training and development programs, as well as learning from each other.

Career development and internal mobility are crucial for a well-functioning learning organization. In 2024, almost a third of our permanent position recruitments were filled internally.

Leadership excellence is a key driver for the growth and well-being of our employees. In 2023, we invested in the We Lead Emotional Agency leadership program, which was extended to all our people in 2024. In 2025, we have two parallel programs, one for managers and another for other employees.

Our Enento Academy learning platform offers digital education on strategic topics such as our information security, artificial intelligence, sustainability, GDPR, and compliance. We also offer LinkedIn Learning program participation for our employees.

Our internal Knowledge and Inspiration sharing and learning sessions are facilitated by our internal experts and organized one to four times per month. We also offer possibility to participate in a network mentoring program with other technology companies. Mentoring is a great option for both professional and personal development, and a great way to share knowledge and experience between companies.

Employee engagement

We promote a values-driven performance culture that values diversity and has zero tolerance for discrimination and bullying. We want our staff members to feel included and respected. To us, a friendly culture means psychological safety, which is scientifically shown to be equally important in enhancing creativity and productivity as good compensation models and other benefits.

We take listening to employees seriously. Our bi-weekly anonymous pulse surveys help us measure topics such as trust, meaningfulness of work, personal development, job satisfaction, leadership, work situation, and team spirit. Measuring the pulse helps us in receiving real time insights about the engagement, and to better understand what actions need to be taken on different levels.

To build collaboration and team spirit, our Nordic Activity Group plans and organizes informal activities such as after-work events. We also have the You Rock program, where employees can praise their colleagues with a small gift, and the Enento Awards ceremony to honor outstanding achievements.

Onboarding is important for learning, establishing the right culture, and providing employees with an opportunity to succeed in their new roles. To facilitate effective onboarding, we create a role-based onboarding plan for each new employee and assign a Buddy to assist them in integrating into the culture.

Holistic well-being

Well-being is important to a healthy company culture. Our approach to employee well-being is holistic, covering individual wellness, both mental and physical, as well as leadership, team collaboration, and organizational culture.

We promote health and well-being with meeting-free Wednesday mornings, a weekly health-hour and occasional mindfulness and yoga sessions. In November, we organized Empowered People Month, which included events covering topics such as the importance of sleep, the significance of our social work environment, psychological safety, and tips to avoid multitasking.

Work life balance and stress management are important parts of our well-being at work. All managers follow and are educated in a process focusing on early care of any team members that show signs of stress or of having well-being problems. Since 2021, we have offered our people a digital mental well-being service called Auntie. Employees can have up to five sessions per year with healthcare professionals and receive tools for stress management.  Our Finnish subsidiary, Suomen Asiakastieto Oy, has been awarded the Hyvän mielen työpaikka® (Mental Health Friendly Workplace) badge given by the Finnish Mieli association for the past two years in a run.

To enhance the well-being of our employees, we are committed to providing a flexible hybrid working environment. Our hybrid work policy mandates that employees work in the office at least two days per week which we see as an important matter for the culture, collaboration, spontaneous interactions across teams and learning. Each team has the autonomy to determine which days those are based on their needs.
